Community Support Services provides staffing resources to all of our Communities, and serves as an important component of the overall care teams of the organization. Our Float Pool Team of Professionals is looking for Certified Nursing Assistants that pride themselves in providing quality care and services to seniors in a variety of levels of care. As a critical care partner on the Nursing Team, our CNA's are valued and are an essential part of the everyday care planning and implementation of delivering individualized resident health needs.

Hiring Wage Range for Float Pool CNA's: Minimum $13.00 - Maximum $15.28

(based on experience - those with verifiable and qualifying experience may be considered for higher than the maximum hiring wage).

Position Summary:

Our Float Pool CNA's serve all three of our Communities, and could have the opportunity for Home Care or one-on-one client care. Providing direct care, life enrichment activities and other daily living tasks that residents or clients may need assistance with. Our Float Pool Personnel are relied upon providing support in any area needed in the Community.

Basic Requirements & Experience Needed:

Must be a current Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Colorado.

Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Must demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and interest in people.

Must successfully pass a criminal background check and 9 panel drug screen.

Must successfully pass an Isokinetic pre-employment screening.

Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) Certification preferred.

3-6 months experience in long term care preferred.

Essential Duties of the Float Pool Certified Nursing Assistant:

Responsible for daily direction and/or assistance of resident’s activities of daily living

Become familiar with residents preferences in order to personalize their care

Assist residents with social, personal, and health care needs as required

Responsible for providing Life Enrichment opportunities to improve the quality of resident life

Responsible for knowing and properly applying safety, infection control, and risk management procedures

Plan and prepare meals, provide housekeeping and laundry, and other chores as needed

Assist with medication distribution and documentation

Responsible for making decisions in an emergency and notifying appropriate personnel

Communicate on a regular basis with immediate supervisor and/or Resident Services Director regarding resident’s status and condition, and any tasks or services not provided as outlined in the care plan

Document the services provided on a daily log sheet

Provide administrative assistance with admissions

Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands of the Job:

Position requires medium-heavy physical work. Heavy lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up in excess of 45 pounds of force repeatedly to move objects.

Stands and walks constantly during working hours with occasional sitting, kneeling, squatting, reaching above shoulder height and fine motor control with fingers. Also requires grasping.

Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body excretions and communicable disease.

Is subject to frequent interruptions.

Interacts with residents, family members, visitors and fellow team members frequently.
